Career Recruit School #41 Graduation

The 41st Career Recruit School of the Prince George’s County Fire/Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Department will graduate after 21 intense weeks of training. Thirty-four recruits, 3 being EMS only, have a class motto of; “The Only Easy Day, Was Yesterday.” They have successfully completed their respective fire and EMS classroom and physical training in firefighting, hazardous materials, emergency vehicle operations and emergency medical care. Their first day on the job as firefighters will be on Tuesday, June 22, 2010.


Graduation ceremonies will include comments from Fire Chief Eugene A. Jones as well as elected and civic leaders. An Oath of Office will be administered, graduation certificates will be presented and deserving recruits will receive a variety of awards for achievements while at the Fire/EMS Training Academy.

The recruits will graduate on Monday, June 21, 2010, at 6:00 pm at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center on Commo Road in Cheltenham. This is a high-security federal facility and anyone wishing to attend this ceremony must provide their names to the Fire/EMS Training Academy, 301-856-2940, no later then 12:00 pm on Monday.
