On Wednesday, April 6, 2011, Acting Fire Chief Marc S. Bashoor and 24 recruit firefighter/medics from Prince George's County, MD, participated in a National Fallen Firefighters Foundation 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb.  The event was held in conjunction with the  Congressional Fire Services Institute and held at the Washington Hilton in NW Washington, DC.

Only 343 firefighters could participate in the event, the same number of firefighters that made the ultimate sacrifice on September, 11, 2001.

Thanks to Dave Statter of www.STATter911.com and crew for providing the video about the event.
