Acting Lieutenant Colonel Jerome F. LaMoria

Acting Lieutenant Colonel Jerome "Jerry" Lamoria has notified Fire Chief Marc Bashoor of his intent to retire from the Fire/EMS Department at the end of November this year.


Jerry will remain in the Emergecny Operations Command as the Acting Lieutenant Colonel until his departure.

Fire Chief Bashoor stated, "Please join me in congratulating Jerry on a very successful and I'm sure rewarding 26+ year career with the Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department. His experience will be a true loss to this Department - I wish him and his family the best in their future endeavors."

According to Lamoria, he is going to work right up to a 2-week vacation with his wife and upon return will not have to go back to work.  He has a few options for his post PGFD career but did not elobarate.
