Prince George's County Fire Chief Marc S. Bashoor will present several Emergency Services Awards and Letters of Commendation to deserving Fire Fighter/Medics, Police Officers and Deputy Sheriffs. These public safety members are being recognized for their heroic actions on two separate incidents; the rescue of a 2 year-old-female and other occupants from a burning townhouse on Hilmar Drive and for the rescue of occupants from a burning home on Alton Street.
The "informal" awards event is today, Monday, April 16, 2012, at 12 Noon. It will be held at the District Heights Fire/EMS Station #826, on Marlboro Pike near Silver Hill Road.
