Running the Woodrow Wilson Bridge

Media Contact: Mark E. Brady, Chief Spokesperson, 240-508-7930

The Prince George's County Fire Chief will lead a run across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge with members of the current academy class in what has become a tradition for the soon-to-graduate recruit firefighters.  Fire Chief Marc S. Bashoor will join the 33 members of the Fire/EMS Training Academy Career Recruit School #46 in a 5 mile run on a trail that starts at the National Harbor over the Woodrow Wilson Bridge to Virginia and return.  Career Recruit School #46 is scheduled to graduate on October 18th.

The paved path starting at the National Harbor is a beautiful and scenic path that takes you along the Potomac River with wide winding paths that bring you over top of the Capital Beltway and onto the pedestrian path across the Wilson Bridge.  The group will go into Virginia and return.

The best access to the start and ending point of the WWB Run is a path located behind the National Harbor Sunoco Gas Station, 111 North Cove Terrace.  It's just a short walk from there.
