Firefighters in Need of Toy Donations

MEDIA CONTACT: Mark E. Brady, Chief Spokesperson, 240-508-7930

The Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department has been collecting toys since late November.  The toys are part of a Fire/EMS Department effort to ensure children throughout the County will have a festive holiday season.  Toys are also being collected in support of our County Police Department that are hosting their own toy event.

The donation of new and unwrapped toys have been lighter than in previous years and firefighter/medics are hoping that things will pick up this week.  Toys for all ages of children are being accepted, however, toys and gifts for children ages 8 through 13, both male and female are the most needed.

Please consider helping the Fire/EMS Department make a holiday bright for those in need.  All Prince George's County Fire/EMS Stations are collection points for the toys.  If you would like to donate toys and can not make it to one of our stations, please, call 240-508-5474.

Firefighter/Medics will be delivering holiday food baskets to families that personnel have identified as being in need at the end of this week.
