Fire Chief Announces Promotions

As the budget has been balanced out from the previous fiscal year, we have begun to see some positive movement in our ability to continue filling positions - including promotions.  Although this announcement reflects only sworn promotions, I do expect to announce a couple of Administrative positions in the coming weeks.

I had the honor and pleasure of speaking to or meeting with most of these folks between Tuesday and today, including brief stations visits with crews from station 841, 839, 838, and 826

Please join me in congratulating the following folks on the promotions effective Sunday September 22, 2013;

  • Fire Fighter/Paramedic Battalion Chief Mathew Ludy

Promotions bring additional responsibility and authority.  Those promoted have earned it – and they are entrusted with the requisite authority to fulfill their missions.

Thank you for investing in our future.  Keep up the good work – continue to study, learn, and do everything you can to improve the level of service we provide.

I expect each of us are doing everything we possibly can to maintain the public’s trust and to uphold the Department’s values, known as “THE PROMISE”.
