Firefighters Assist Dog Out of Bad Situation

Prince George's County Firefighters were once again called to rescue a family pet in a bad situation.  A dog walking service called 911 seeking assistance with a dog that had crawled underneath a deck and became wedged in.  at around 9:00 am today Firefighters from the Beltsville Fire/EMS Station arrived at a home in the 11600 block of Sequoia Lane and after evaluating the situation and taking all safety measures into account removed one of the floor planks of the deck where the dog was wedged.  The dog walker was than able to coax her out through the new opening.

It is unknown how long the dog had been trapped under the deck.
