Prince George’s County Firefighters are about to face heat from a different source this weekend. An All-Star team of firefighting softball players will face a team of six female professional-level players that travel across the Country playing taking on teams of all-male challengers. The Dynasty 6 will challenge the Prince George’s County Softball Team in a charity fundraiser on Saturday, June 12, 2010, 5:00 pm, at the University of Maryland. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to The Burn Center at Washington Hospital Center and towards the advancement of breast cancer research. There is an admission charge of $5.

The Dynasty 6 is a team of select women from the traveling U.S. Professional All-Stars. These six players will compete against a full team of Prince George’s County Firefighters.
