St. Baranbas Road Fire Contained to Unit of Origin

Prince George’s County Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish a fire and limit the amount of damage in a Silver Hill condominium this morning. Just after 10:00 am, firefighters were alerted to a fire in a 3rd floor condo at 3853 Saint Barnabas Road. This is a 3-story garden-style condominium building in the Marlow Towers Complex.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in a top floor unit and were able to quickly contain and extinguish the fire. Thirty firefighters had the fire extinguished within 10 minutes of their arrival. No injuries were reported and fire loss was limited to the unit of origin. The adult female occupant will be displaced as a result of the damage; however, the remaining ten families will not require any assistance.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
