Seven Students Suffer Sudden Illness at High School

Just before 11:00 am, Thursday, December 16, 2010, Paramedics were summoned to Potomac High School, 5211 Boydell Avenue, in Oxon Hill.  Several students suffered from a sudden illness or allergic reaction after eating a food product.  Paramedics on location are evaluating and treating seven, high school aged, students.  The students are being prepared for transport to a local hospital for additional evaluation and treatment.  School officials and law enforcement officers are also on the scene investigating the possible cause of this sudden onset of illness.   Additional media inquiries should be directed to the County School Media Office.
