Stay Prepared-Stay Informed-Stay Safe.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a High-Wind Warning for Prince George's County starting at 5:00 am on Saturday. Citizens should secure loose items on your property that could become projectiles during periods of high winds. It is not uncommon for power outages to occur during these weather events; citizens should have their emergency kits at the ready. Among other items, your kit should include a flashlight/lantern with fresh batteries and a battery operated radio to stay informed of emergency information.
