Branch Avenue Closed While Bomb Squad Investigates Suspicious Package

A road crew working along Branch Avenue made an unusual discovery this morning which has prompted the response of the Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department's Bomb Squad.  A suspicious package was found on the side of Branch Avenue at Coventry Way in Clinton.

As a result of this discovery and related bomb squad activity both northbound and southbound lanes of Branch Avenue have been closed to traffic.  This action will help to ensure the safety of public safety officials and the general public.  There is no timeline for our investigation.
