An SUV reportedly drove into and through a Riverdale home this morning causing significant damage to the house.
At about 4:15 am Fire/EMS units from Riverdale and Hyattsville were alerted to the incident at a home near the intersection of Route 1 and East-West Highway.
For whatever reasons an SUV left the roadway striking and entering a house. The home had 5 occupants and the vehicle had 2 occupants. All 7 were evaluated by medics. All refused any medical treatment and transport.
Firefighters secured the utilities to the structure and awaited the arrival of a building inspector. The house was declared uninhabitable resulting in the displacement of the occupants.
