The Prince George's County Fire/EMS Training Academy (FETA) will host "Family Night" for the members of Career Recruit School (CRS) 45 and their families.  There are 27 members of CRS #45 that are nearing completion of their training.  The FETA hosts a family night for each CRS at the FETA in Cheltenham where family is invited to attend and tour the academy classrooms, training grounds and to meet the instructors they have heard so much about over the past few months.

Family Night will be held tonight, 6:00 pm, at the Fire/EMS Training Academy in Cheltenham,  Members of the media are invited to attend the event.  For additional information about the FETA and directions, click here.

As part of family night, recruits will don full protective personal equipment including their self contained breathing apparatus and demonstrate for their families just some of the skills they have learned.  A live fire evolution will be conducted at the academy's burn building.  The recruits will be joined by Fire Chief Marc S. Bashoor as they advance charged hoselines into the burn building, rescue trapped occupants, ventilate the smoke and heat out of the building and extinguish the fire.

The 27 men and women of CRS #45 are scheduled to graduate on June 11, 2012.
