PGFD Career & Volunteer Firefighters to Attend State Convention

Hundreds of firefighters, paramedics, EMT's, Ladies Auxiliary members and families will soon be departing Prince George's County and heading to Ocean City.  No, it's not for a big fire, it is for the Annual State Convention.  Yes, while fun in the sun is on the agenda there is work to conducted.  The 2014 Maryland State Fireman's Association (MSFA) and Ladies Auxiliary (LAMSFA) will hold their annual convention in the resort town of Ocean City, Maryland.

There are business meetings, election of officers, swearing in ceremonies, banquets, award presentations, training sessions, parade and more starting on Saturday, June 14 with events running through the week.   Thousands of fire/EMS service personnel, career and volunteer, attend the annual convention.

Many Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department personnel will be in attendance including County Fire Chief Marc S. Bashoor along with many members of the Volunteer Leadership.
