Images from PGFD Bomb Squad Ops in Hyattsville

On Monday, February 2, the Prince George's County Fire/EMS Departments Bomb Squad was requested to assist in the identification of a suspicious package found in an outdoor space in Hyattsville.  The Bomb Squad used their robot to identify the contents of an unattended book bag that proved to be non-explosive.

The City of Hyattsville Police Department and the University of Maryland Explosives Canine Unit assisted the PGFD Bomb Squad on the call.

The incident occurred in the 3500 block of East-West Highway.  Bomb Squad and law enforcement personnel operated off of Belcrest Road near East-West Highway.
