Retired PGFD Deputy Fire Chief Carla D. Blue Passes Away

It is with the utmost sadness that the Prince George’s County Fire/Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Department announce the sudden passing of retired Deputy Fire Chief Carla D. Blue.  Carla Blue retired in October 2009 after 20 dedicated years of service to the Department and to the residents of Prince George’s County.

Carla passed away after being involved in a motor vehicle crash on Indian Head Highway in Fort Washington earlier this morning.

The Fire/EMS Department’s thoughts and prayers are with Carla's family, friends and loved ones including her son, Jamar, a Prince George's County Firefighter assigned to the Calverton Fire/EMS Station.

Funeral arrangements will be announced once they are available.
