BOWIE VFD Presents Albert Kirchner - Special Speaker Event

From Bowie Volunteer President Dave Parker.....

The Bowie Volunteer Fire Department is pleased to announce their first special speaker event! On Tuesday, December 1st, our guest speaker will be former Superintendent of the National Fire Academy and former Director of Fire Protection for the Marine Corps, Albert Kirchner. Al has assembled an awesome program that reviews his efforts as part of a national response team to restore fire and police protection to the New Orleans area after Hurricane Katrina. The complete destruction of communications, apparatus, fire stations and the incredible and sometimes frustrating effort to bring everything back online will be the focus of this evening. Longtime friend and BVFD Member Tom Cusick will be introducing Mr. Kirchner, dessert and beverages will be served. Please tell all Fire/EMS/Police about this great evening!!!

This event is Tuesday, December 1st, 7PM at the Robert Wright Training Hall at Station 43 in Bowie. Please RSVP as soon as possible to Dave Parker at dparker39@comcast.net so we can have enough supplies and beverages. As a sneak peek, I have seen some of the images and heard some of the stories, and if you are into Fire/EMS/Police, you are going to be blown away! Al is dynamic speaker with fire and career experience with DCFD, Chicago FD, Notre Dame FD, Marine Corps, National Fire Academy...the list goes on!!! Do not delay responding because this event is going to be open to others in the County and surrounding jurisdictions also, so RSVP now! “
