The Prince George’s County Fire/Emergency Medical Services Department received a large donation of toys today from a homeowners association.  The Allentown Road Fire/EMS Station 832 had assisted the association with a community event in October and refused to accept a monetary donation for their participation.  The firefighters recommended they consider a donation to the Toys for Tots program that the Department participates in.

Tracy D. Matthews spoke on behalf of the Lanham-Roddy Association (LRA) and stated, “We would like to extend our utmost appreciation to you and your team who have contributed to the success of the LRA during our time of need and assistance.  Your high level of professionalism and community participation was clearly demonstrated.”  She concluded, “Although we are aware the Allentown Fire/EMS Station is a team and family environment; we would like to give special recognition and thanks to Captain Michael R. Marshall along with Firefighters Matthew Kershaw, Ryan Roberts and Brian Lysy.
