Just after 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 22, 2010, a 2-vehicle crash occurred in Beltsville involving three people sustaining injuries. The crash occurred in the 3100 block of Powder Mill Road in Beltsville involving two cars. The first vehicle was occupied by two teen-aged males each sustaining serious, non-life threatening in juries. The teen-aged driver was trapped in his car for about 10 minutes while firefighters extricated him. His teen-aged male passenger was ejected from the vehicle. Both of these patients were transported by paramedics to area Trauma Centers.
The driver of the second vehicle, adult male/20ish years of age, sustained less serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
Powder Mill Road was closed down for about an hour to allow first responders an opportunity to work safely while they tended to the victims and County Police to document the scene.
The County Police are investigating the crash.
