Bomb Squad Renders Safe Suspicious Package

The Bomb Squad used a remote device to disrupt a suspicious package found in the median strip of Branch Avenue at Coventry Way in Clinton.

The package was constructed to have the appearance an improvised explosive device and personnel exercised all precautions during the investigation.

Bomb Squad Technicians have collected what was left of the package and believe the package was not a threat.

Evidence is still being collected and personnel are beginning to wrap up their operations. Branch Avenue should reopen within 30 minutes.
