The Nationwide Tour’s Melwood Prince George’s County Open got underway this week at the University of Maryland Golf Course in College Park. “The best weather possible for a golf tournament,” stated one fan. Temperatures in the 80’s with low humidity and friendly staff is proving to make Prince George’s County a perfect pairing for the Melwood Prince George’s Open. Conditions are also keeping activity level low for the Prince George’s County Firefighter/Medics staffing the first aid station and ambulance cart. Friday’s staffing included Fire Fighter/Medic’s Nicole Duppins and Aaron Tyler. Numerous staff from the Office of the County Executive are working the event to ensure the Path to Greatness is seen and heard. The tournament continues through the remainder of the weekend.
