Fire Chief to Award County Police for Recent Actions at Apartment Fire

Prince George's County Fire Chief Marc S. Bashoor will present Certificates of Award and letters of commendation to four County Police Officers. The awards bestowed will be in recognition of the actions of the police officers when they saw smoke coming from a 6th floor window of the Spellman House Apartments in College Park.  This apartment building is occupied with senior citizens and mobility challenged residents.  During this fire the buildings audible fire alarm did not operate.
