Firefighters from the Baden/Brandywine area are battling a brush/marsh fire that is proving to be a challenge to access. Firefighters were alerted at around 6:00 pm of the fire in the 17000 block of Milltown Landing Road in Brandywine. There are currently 5 engines, 4 brush units and water tankers on location. The area burning involves about 2 acres of heavily wooded marsh near the Patuxent River and is only accessible by foot.
No structures are in danger and no injuries have been reported as of now.
