Dulaney Valley Memorial
Gardens will conduct their Fallen Heroes Day Memorial Service
this week. The memorial will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 1:00 P.M.
This event is held annually to honor the men
and women of Maryland's Public Safety Community who lost their lives in the
line of duty. The memorial event is open
to the public and the keynote speaker will be John Harbaugh, Head Coach of the
NFL’s Baltimore Ravens.
One
of the Fallen Heroes to be remembered and honored will be Prince George’s County Fire Fighter Thomas Graves. He suffered a Line of Duty Death on April 16, 1980, when a natural gas explosion in a Glenn
Dale apartment building leveled the front brick wall trapping Fire Fighter
Graves under the debris.
Fire
Fighter Graves will be represented by several of his family members and Prince
George’s County Fire Chief Marc Bashoor.
Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens is located
at 200 East Padonia Road in
Timonium, Maryland.
