PGFD Volunteer Members Provide Instruction at Fire Department Instructors Conference




One of the nations leading fire service trade conferences is underway in Indianapolis.  The Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) runs from April 22 to April 27 and is well attended by members of the Fire/EMS services from around the Country.  There are members of the Prince George’s County Fire/Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in attendance providing instruction and some receiving valuable knowledge by attending the classes and by visiting the numerous vendors displaying state of the art equipment.

Mondays presentation was led by a member of the Kentland Volunteer Fire/EMS Department; Fire Engineering article.  Chief Kelleher was joined by former Kentland Volunteer Chief and currently with Clearwater Fire Department, Ricky Riley, and Bowie Volunteer Firefighter Larry Schultz.
Volunteer Chief Tony Kelleher presented a seminar on being “combat ready.” The presentation was received well and has been documented in this

Tuesdays presentation was led by Riley with assistance from Kelleher and Schultz.  This presentation was entitled "Red Flags on the Fireground."
