The Prince George’s County Council Public Safety and Fiscal Management (PSFM) Committee will convene on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, for a 12:30 press conference on the outside (pond side) of the County Administration Building, 14741 Gov. Oden Bowie Drive, highlighting several new and recently acquired Fire/Emergency Medical Services Department apparatus. The deliveries, made possible by appropriations in the current County budget, represent three consecutive years of significant funding for Fire/EMS apparatus supported by the County Council.
Remarks will be provided by PSFM Committee Chair Karen R. Toles; Council Chair and PSFM member Andrea C. Harrison; DCAO for Public Safety, Barry L. Stanton; and Fire Chief Marc S. Bashoor. Media will also have a photo and tour opportunity of the new apparatus.
Immediately following the press event, PSFM Committee Members will conduct FY 2014 budget review work sessions for the County Fire/Volunteer Fire Department, Office of Information Technology, and Office of Homeland Security, in Room 2027 of the County Administration Building.
