PGFD Fire Investigator Graduates County Police Academy

The Prince George’s County Fire/Emergency Medical Services Department is proud to announce the graduation of Fire Fighter Jamieson Scarlata from the County Police Academy Session 125.  Scarlata is assigned to the Fire/EMS Departments Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM) as a Fire Investigator.  OFM is responsible for the investigation and enforcement of all crimes related to arson and explosives within the County.

Scarlata, a veteran firefighter, graduated with honors by receiving the highest student average amongst the 46 graduates in the study of Law.

The graduation ceremony was held on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden.


Scarlata was joined by family members (his brother is a County Police Officer), Fire Chief Bashoor, Deputy Fire Chief Scott Hoglander and many friend and co-workers from the Fire/EMS Department.
