respond to each day. Please review the
planned activities and take some time to join us. Of course we all remember that Sunday, September 11, has special meaning to everyone, in particular, firefighters.

The Washington Nationals will be hosting “Heroes Day” at their home game on Sunday, September 11th against the Philadelphia Phillies to commemorate the lives lost and forever impacted by the events of September 11, 2001. The Nationals are inviting first responders to participate in an honorary pregame ceremony. 150 Law Enforcement and Fire/EMS responders from area jurisdictions are expected to participate. The Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department will be represented by 33 members with the majority coming from the Forestville Fire/EMS Department. Forestville has dealt with a tragic on duty death of a Firefighter/Medic, the job related death of a Firefighter/Medic of cancer and a injury to a member from a crash that has been unable to work.
